WASHINGTON — Maryland State Police have identified two of the three people who died in a crash involving a dump truck and an SUV on a Charles County highway Tuesday afternoon.
Police said Theresa Robinson, 44, and Arnold Griffin, 45, both of Waldorf, Maryland, died in the crash.
Robinson was driving the Lincoln MKX that collided with the dump truck on Maryland Route 234/Budds Creek Road near the intersection of Penns Hill Road. Griffin was the SUV’s right front-seat passenger.
The identity of third person, who was a passenger in the SUV, hasn’t been released until their family is notified.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Two other back seat passengers in the SUV were also injured in the crash and airlifted to MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Police did not provide details on the extent of their injuries.
